On the occasion of the 60th edition of Youth Day, celebrated in Cameroon under the official theme
“Youth at the heart of great hopes, for a united, stable and prosperous Cameroon,”
the Cameroon Front (FC) carried out a political and civic outreach mission on 1 February 2026 in Kekem, in the West Region of Cameroon, precisely at Ijiban 44.

This initiative by the Cameroon Front was part of its own activities, organized around the theme “Knowing your country, loving it in order to better serve it,” adopted by the party for its political and civic meeting held as a prelude to the official Youth Day celebrations.

A structured and solemn gathering

The meeting, which began at 12:00 noon, brought together party militants, supporters and members of the local community around a well-defined programme. After the arrival and installation of participants, the ceremony opened with the reading of the meeting declaration, followed by a prayer, a minute of silence, and the singing of the National Anthem and the party anthem, underscoring the solemn character of the event.

The President of the Cameroon Front Council of Kekem then delivered a welcome address, followed by the presentation of the members of the National Council and an official presentation of the Cameroon Front, enabling participants to gain a clearer understanding of the party’s ideology, values and political orientations, based on peace, education and prosperity.

Civic education at the heart of discussions

One of the highlights of the meeting was the presentation on the theme upheld by the Cameroon Front, delivered by the President of the party, followed by open exchanges with participants. Discussions focused particularly on the civic responsibility of young people, notably the importance of registering on electoral rolls, participating in democratic processes and engaging responsibly in civic life.

Special emphasis was placed on the involvement of young women, who were encouraged to take their rightful place in political and civic life, as well as within the structures of the Cameroon Front.

Official installation of the Cameroon Front cell in Kekem

Taking advantage of this mobilization organized ahead of the 60th Youth Day celebrations, the party proceeded with the presentation and official installation of the members of the Cameroon Front Sub-Divisional Council of Kekem. This step marks the formal establishment of a local party cell, tasked with structuring political action and strengthening grassroots mobilization.

According to local party officials, this installation aims to better prepare the Cameroon Front for upcoming electoral deadlines, while continuing civic education and community engagement.

A political revival welcomed by party militants

The ceremony concluded with a closing address by the Party President, followed by the National Anthem, the Cameroon Front anthem, a family photograph, interviews, and a convivial moment marked by refreshments and entertainment.

Party militants and participants expressed their satisfaction, noting that the meeting strengthened their understanding of the values promoted by the Cameroon Front and reinforced their commitment to active citizenship.

A message to Cameroonian youth

In Kekem, this initiative by the Cameroon Front illustrates the party’s determination to raise awareness among young people about the importance of knowing their country, loving it and serving the general interest, in full coherence with the spirit of the 60th Youth Day, celebrated under the banner of hope, unity, stability and prosperity for Cameroon.
